UVDB, powered by Achilles, is a supplier pre-qualification system widely used by utilities and larger buyers. A Silver Plus membership demonstrates that a supplier has passed independent checks across safety, quality and environmental areas relevant to utility-sector contracts.

UVDB Silver Plus streamlines the tendering and audit process when we bid for work with regulated utilities and large infrastructure clients, because our compliance evidence is already independently verified.

SafeContractor Approved: Health & Safety

SafeContractor, run by Alcumus, is a contractor accreditation scheme that assesses health and safety arrangements, policies and qualifications to a nationally recognised standard. It aligns with SSIP/PAS91 expectations used in procurement.

Being SafeContractor approved demonstrates our commitment to robust health and safety systems, regular staff training, and documented safe working procedures.

On-site managers and principal contractors can rely on Andersons to meet common health and safety pre-qualification checks, helping to reduce site risk, lower insurance exposure and simplify contractor selection.

Environment Agency: Waste carrier, broker and dealer registration & regulation

The Environment Agency regulates waste activities in England, including registration and permits for waste carriers, brokers and dealers and enforcement of waste law and guidance. Registration and compliance with the Environment Agency demonstrate that a company is authorised to move, buy, sell or manage controlled waste.

Maintaining the appropriate registrations and adhering to Environment Agency guidance ensures Andersons operates within the legal framework for handling controlled waste and remains able to offer full waste-management services.
