Online Booking Terms & Conditions
A sewage or treatment plant (sometimes called a “small sewage treatment plant” or “package treatment plant”) plays a vital role in processing wastewater on-site where mains sewer connections are not available.
1. Scope & Application
These Terms and Conditions apply to all domestic and commercial customers who make online bookings for septic tank, sewage treatment plant and cesspit emptying services provided by us. By completing an online booking, you confirm that you accept these Terms and Conditions in full and agree to be bound by them.
2. Services & Booking Options
2.1 Service Tiers
- Standard Service: Emptying completed within 7 calendar days from booking confirmation.
- Express Service: Priority emptying completed within 2 working days from booking confirmation.
2.2 Timeframe Exclusions
- Weekends and Public Holidays are not counted towards either service timeframe. If your booking is confirmed on a Friday, weekend or public holiday, the service window will start from the next working day.
- Timeframes are estimates only and may be extended due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control (see Clause 7).
3. Access, Location & Additional Charges
3.1 Vehicle & Location Requirements
- Minimum access width: 3 metres
- Minimum overhead clearance: 4 metres
- Maximum distance from safe vehicle parking position to tank inlet: 60 metres
- Ground capable of supporting a fully loaded heavy goods vehicle (minimum 12 tonnes)
3.2 Access Queries
If you are unsure whether your access meets these requirements, or have any questions about these Terms and Conditions, please provide full details in the "Special Requirements" box when making your booking. We will review this and contact you before confirming your service to avoid any issues or unexpected charges.
3.3 Access & Waste Journey Charge
You must provide accurate details of access and tank location at the time of booking. If our crew arrives on site and determines that:
- The vehicle cannot safely or legally reach the property or suitable parking position,
- The tank inlet is more than 60 metres from the available parking space,
- Access is restricted, blocked, unsuitable or does not meet the requirements above,
- Or we are unable to complete the service for reasons attributable to your property or information provided,
We reserve the right to apply a Waste Journey Charge of £75 plus VAT to cover travel time, crew costs and vehicle usage — this charge applies even if no emptying work is carried out. Any subsequent re-visits will also incur this charge unless access requirements are fully resolved in advance.
3.4 Alternative Arrangements
We may be able to arrange smaller vehicles or alternative pumping methods where possible, but this will incur additional costs confirmed with you before any work proceeds.
4. Pricing & Payment
- All prices displayed online include VAT where applicable, and include standard waste disposal charges.
- The Waste Journey Charge outlined in Clause 3.3 is fixed at £75 plus VAT.
- Payment is required in full at the time of booking, unless you hold an approved commercial credit account with us.
- We accept payment via major credit/debit cards and approved online payment methods.
5. Cancellations & Amendments
- You may cancel or amend your booking free of charge up to the end of the working day before your scheduled service date.
- Same-day cancellations, or failure to provide access on arrival will incur a cancellation fee equal to 100% of the total service cost.
- We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule your booking if required by operational needs, safety concerns or circumstances beyond our control.
6. Customer Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Ensure the tank or treatment plant inlet is clearly marked and located within 60 metres of the agreed parking position.
- Remove all obstacles, unlock gates/barriers and provide full access before our crew arrives.
- Provide accurate details of tank size, type, location and site conditions at the time of booking — use the "Special Requirements" box for any access notes or queries.
- Ensure all waste is exclusively domestic or commercial sewage as declared, and free from prohibited items including chemicals, grease, construction waste, plastics or hazardous materials.
7. Limitation of Liability
We will not be liable for delays, failed visits or additional costs caused by:
- Restricted access, incorrect location details or site conditions you provided,
- Extreme weather, road closures, legal restrictions or other events outside our reasonable control,
- Pre-existing damage to tanks, pipes or infrastructure revealed during emptying.
Our total aggregate liability under these Terms shall not exceed the total amount paid by you for the relevant service.
8. Waste Disposal
All waste removed will be transported and disposed of at Environment Agency licensed facilities in full compliance with UK environmental regulations.
